What's so bad about torture porn types of movies?

i dislike them, but thats just my own personal opinion
Saw 1 was alright but as the spill crew have already said it's like a poor man's Se7en and i love that movie
but slowly Saw just stopped giving fucks and just decided to throw the story down a really deep well...

Hostel is just shitty never liked it, its as simple as tat.

and the reason i dont like torture porn is not that there is torture but usually these mainstream blockbuster movies don't have anything else other than gore and violence and when i watch a film i want a good story and characters.

The best torture porn has to be blood sucking freaks. I own the movie and it for sure has over the top tities and gore it is a fairly fucked up movie. If people are having a hard time with saw and hostel they should try watching this i would like to see the looks on those assholes faces then. long live gore and tities you cant hardly have one without the other

other films have reasons for the torture, like resevoir dogs, where the cop gets fucked up, but it's for a reason!
"torture porn" is actually a good name for saw and hostel films: no good story, just alot of shit you don't have to engage your mind about.

If you watch something about torture, which is displayed graphically and a bit too realistically, and it's one of their favorite movies, I hold the notion that they are fucked in the head.

I think movies have lost "the art" of making you love them for being just plain good instead of shocking you. in this day and age, nothing's shocking. rape? watching things like the devil's rejects or the hills have eyes makes me sad. horror and sex have nothing to do with each other, stop trying to mix it. horny, pathetic teenagers love this shit i guess. what is this world coming to...?
