Now people still to this date are harping on about The Avengers (perhaps not on the site, but where I am here everytime I bring up something to do with comic book heroes). But personally, while The Avengers was good (I saw it three times), it wasn't the be-all-or-end-all of comic book films. I had my problems with it and I hope to discuss them with you today. My biggest problem was the ending, which was just a Phantom Menace cop-out. Come on, blowing up the Mothership kills all the Chitauri? I mean they had the military prowess of an army of autistic stormtroopers but beside the point there was no satisfying victory, you knew that they were just there to be on-screen eye candy for the Avengers to beat the fuck up but no threat. I could go on, but I want to hear what you guys think? What are the parts of The Avenegers that you didn't like and if you loved it all, please do tell, I am interested to hear.

I didn't understand how Banner could control the Hulk at the end of the movie when not 30 min ago he was trying to kill Black Widow.

He had a fit. He can control, but he couldn't resist.

I didn't like the bit where Sean Connery had the weather machine.

Do you mean Bane?

I didn't like the fact that Cobie Smulders was not in the film enough. And that Loki was useless in the film.

No spiderman

I liked the Hulk-Loki moment, it was unexpected and funny, but I don't think that's how Loki should have been finished off.

It may just be my man crush on Tom Hiddleston talking but I would have liked some kind of fight where he takes on Cap, Thor and Iron Man at the same time; not with brute strength, but using his powers and intellect to hold them off.

Scarlet was a horrible casting choice from the beginning; they should have replaced her along with Ed Norton.  No screen presence, no charisma, just that dopey, pouty ever-present doe-eyed look.

I didn't care for the Buffy writing.  It was evident that Joss was dying to write another Buffy episode, and that's exactly what he did.  None of the Avengers bantered or bickered in character, they all morphed into Zander, Willow, Buffy, Spike, etc...disappointing.

How on Earth does Tony Stark not know what shawarma is??!!  Eh?!

David Banner being a whiny little baby the whole time.  "Oh no, what if the other guy shows up?  Ooooo, you don't wanna see the other guy.  You're gonna let me on that boat?  You're gonna let me in that plane?"  Get off it, Banner.

Probably because the "other guy" kills people, and destroys things. That tends to have legal repercussions for Banner as a normal person. I don't think that's something someone can easily "get off " to be honest.

There were only three things that bothered me about The Avengers.

1. The Hulk- In the movie, The Incredible Hulk, Edward Nortons Hulk was a bad ass. He was up right and proper and could talk. In The Avengers, the Hulk was like very gorilla-ish or ogre-ish. It bothered me.

2. Thor's entrance- It shows Tony Stark and Steve Rodgers looking at profiles of all the other heroes. So, when Thor came and took Loki, why were they like "Who the fuck is this guy?!"

3- I was waiting the whole movie for a little bit of a clue for more heroes. Like, if they were introduced to a Dr. Pym! or a conversation about going to Wakanda. I got nothin' :(

No Turboman.

This made my day!
