Oh man, this is the most awesome question ever, since, ya know, I think about it a lot. For me, it first came up during a Carolina basketball game, while a group of my friends were heading toward the Dean Dome. We were kinda messed up and one of us asked, "Hey, what if there was a zombie outbreak right here?"
I looked around, and if you know Chapel Hill during a basketball game at all, you'll know that Manning is literally crowded with thousands of people on the sidewalk. Needless to say, I kinda started to freak out and was like, "Holy shit, We'd be dead, man!"
Ever since then, I always thought about zombie breakout. True story.
But to answer the question, I'd wear some kind of leather suit since most people can't bite through that shit, right? There's good logic somewhere in there. Also, I think a baseball bat is the most effective weapon. Possibly a shovel. This is because it'll buy you enough time to get away. I would likely hide in an apartment building, kind of like the Japanese kid in World War Z, except the smell might really start to bother me, so I should probably rethink this one.
i wonder how long it will be until this subject is worn to death and nerds find a new thing to beat in to the ground with their incessant obsessiveness.
we get it. you read a book about zombies.
you don't need to make a forum every time you read a book.
if you feel like busting a nut when you're done reading world war z, or the zombie survival guide, or you just tugged one off to a rousing session of left 4 dead, then go to one of the two dozen forums about this topic that already exist.
or better yet go blow your load in the zombie group. you know, the group made just so peole could go there and talk about this kind of shit.
"i would want a _shooting_weapon_,
and plenty of ammo.
a _melee_weapon_ would also be useful.
i'd need food,
and some first aid kits.
i would go _some_place_safe_. maybe a mall."
how many more times do people need to see this?
yeah, i suppose i do care. i care that people don't have the common courtesy to find out if the subject they're making a forum about already exists or not.
that just kind of strikes me as rude.
i also care about how a semi-interesting subject is being hammered in to the ground by a bunch of parrots who have nothing original to say on the topic but insist on making forum after forum about it anyways.
that's just annoying.
do you have a writing disability? i'm not asking to be a jerk, but if you're under the impression that writing my last post took any amount of actual time, then i can only assume you have some sort of problem writing, or maybe your keyboard is on fire.
Hehehe...
No other monster has as many movies dedicated to it, as zombies, and they are far, far, from done making more of them. Long as a new zombie movie is on the horizon, let's keep thinking (and talking) of what we want in the next one, as we obviously want more.
it isn't a problem that people are talking about zombies. it's that they're making forum upon forum about the exact same thing without offering up any insight.
if there was one or two forums on the subject filled with hundreds of posts, that would be one thing.
instead we have 20+ forums, each one with less than fifty posts, and each post is a near carbon copy of the one made before it.
"zombie apocalypse" has become the new "dark knight" in unoriginal forum subjects.
the only reason zombies are such a well traversed subject in horror films is because zombie movies are cheap and easy to make. if anything that steals away from their appeal.
no other monster has as many shitty movies dedicated to it as zombies.
