What was your favorite performance of 2009?
It can be from either a movie or TV show. Doesn't matter as long as it resonated with you. For me it's Liam Neeson's role in "Taken" with Christoph Waltz in "Inglourious Basterds" a close second. As much as I loved Waltz in that film there's just something about Neeson's performance that I liked more. He's just so damn badass and likeable at the same time and it works. The role was tailor made for the actor and he didn't disappoint. I think it's his best role in years. In fact, his performance is what makes the film. "Taken" really wouldn't be worth a damn without him. Hell, fuck it! Let's just call it a tie! LOL

John Lithgow was phenomenal in Dexter this year, but film-wise it'd have to be Sam Rockwell (Moon) and Christoph Waltz.
