What was the better tv show Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel?

I read about the Buffy remake here on Spill and noticed, there's a lot of Buffy fans here, so I'wondering what show do you like more, Buffy or Angel?

I say Angel, just due to it being more fun and not always dragging out the idea that women are better than men in every way possible, it's cool if they think that but just make a cool show and put your manifesto in sparsely and not almost every epidode. But I have to say Buffy's Hush episode is one of my favorite hours of television.

On one hand, rehashing over old characters seemed kinda corny at the time it was on TV, it was only because I wasn't watching it from episode to episode. If a old character was going to join, there was always a good reason why they were there. Not just characters, but old ideas get revisited in new ways. Ideas regarding demons are changed, as we can't assume they are all evil anymore. Old characters become stronger than ever, with Cordy, Wesley, and even Harmony growing into very real people, from their 2d origins. Angelus still proves to be the most evil thing any of them have ever encountered.
And seeing Angel consciously make the wrong choice, like when he locks up the W&H crew in the wine cellar, or tries to kill a in critical condition Wesley, are some of the best, and most rare moments for a hero on television.
Don't get me wrong, love Buffy, but Angel took the already good Buffyverse, and made it better.; ▶ Reply to This

As Mark Conner said without Buffy there would be no Angel but it was Angel that gave the characters you mentioned their voice. In Buffy Wesley was a fool. Look how he turns out in Angel. I never thought I would see Wesley become the chracter he did.

This is whyI think Angel is better. He's a flawed hero. Those two examples you bring up he did as Angel, as the hero. A brave thing to do for sure. That would run the risk of turning many off of Angel. I loved it though. lol

And Angelus was the MAIN villain. Wish we could have seen more of him. I would loved to have seen Angelus return in Season five and go after Spike. Spike vs Angelus. That would have been soooo good to see. Who would win? lol.; ▶ Reply to This
