What Video Game Would You Want To Be A TV Show?
Today's generation of TV is some what great(HBO and others) and today's generation of video games are great too, so what game would you like to be a TV show? Just think about your favorite game getting an animated or Live action TV series.
Mines: Metroid and Legend of Zelda(if done correctly) and probably Bat-Man: Arkham (series)
Who know's it could be done, just look at Pokemon it's still going strong for a full decade.

Vampire TM already HAD a TV series...and it was BAD. Never let Spelling write a vampire show. Even if the actor had not died, the show was VERY unlikely to have been renewed. Remember, it came out on FOX.

Also a few reasons I'd like to see it come back:
A.They cut half the clans and unlike requiem (the 2004 reboot) they didn't even condense the other clans into bloodlines
B.The multiple clans is an interesting concept especially as we only usually have TV & movies with 1 or 2(Blade 2 weird mutant vampires and daybreakers' zombie like vampires) kinds of vampires, having noticeably different clans
C. With the world of darkness MMO it will build tons of hype also get more people interested in the source material.Also spelling produced not write

True...but JESUS was the show BAD. I mean come on, they had a villain named Goth...who dressed in black robes ALL the time. VTM often made a point to say all modern vampires could at least understand and use modern dress because they didn't want to stand out. Ever. And the vampire lead, Luna? HE SLEPT WITH HIS DEAD WIFE'S CORPSE IN HER OWN COFFIN!!!! I saw that scene, blacked out and awoke to find I kicked my TV to pieces in blind rage.
Oh yes, I would have loved to see the Malkies and Tremere in the series, and used the Sabbat as the villains they are. Using that fucktard Frank as the 'human' viewpoint was such crap...the guy was awful. However, the scene were Sasha was embraced against her will by the Brujah in a strange sort of rape was fairly powerful, and I kinda wish THAT was the linking story into this world instead of the stupid cop.
And a bit of FYI, the show was cancelled BEFORE Mark Frankel's death. The show was in negotiations with FOX to try to bring it back, but Frank's accident effectively ended that, as his character was a key point of the talks. And with only eight episodes in its first season in the 90s, I think even if he lived the show was destined to be another Firefly.
Now...since WW has COMPLETELY rewritten the VTM universe as Vampire the Requiem...you MIGHT have another shot at making a NEW series. However, we have a LOT of supernatural shows out now, so unless it's a full on World of Darkness series, it's likely better to try one of the lesser known games. Maybe Mage (personal fav) or Promethean the Created (everyone a Frankenstein's Monster!)

A wod series would be okay as an anthology but not as a character focused as then it will have to focus on one or two people (cause we all know the vampires and most werewolves sure as hell couldn't get along with any other wod series) also it allows the fans to bulid a universe invovling the later adventures of the anthology chaeacters..
Mage as a series would be instantly twisted to be the copyright friendly verison of harry potter in its own way in the hands of most excutives. Promethan I personaly hate as a concept because of the fact they have specific clans where the member falls directly under being made by the monster or something dimilar.
The cop would have been a better character if they brought in the hunter elements of wod for his plotline.

He would have been better if he had a better actor, had not been an 1980 'rogue cop', etc. The character was largely unnecessary, and the plot device to bring him in (the death of his vampire lover) was made pretty stupid after Julian just lets him in on the secret anyway. Honestly, my favorite character was Sasha (my GODS was she hot!) and her relationship with the Gangrel primogen.
THAT should have been the focus of the series: Human girl falls for vamp rebel, learn about her ties to this monstrous extended family and maybe even question why her lover REALLY wants her. With her turning by the Brujah, you have an even stronger Romeo and Juliet situation and without the cop, you have more time to develop it.
Promethean IS a hard pill to swallow at first, but just think about it for a sec. Your characters are creations, trying to be human...some made of the dead. You have the potential to create the 'alien view of society' story, from something that desperately wants it but may never have it. Worse, they WERE human once, and KNOW they have lost their souls. The potential of a VERY dark drama series is strong.
Mage, family friendly? Only if Disney gets it. If done right, it could be pretty kick ass.

Okay but the series is dead so stop talking about what would have made it better
I'm still hung up on the concept that each created is the product of a certain clan. Its not hard to swallow, just kinda defeats the source material that the created is founded upon. As unlike the original stories where the creature is made by a man,the players creature is brought to life through some sense of lienage. It limits the scope in some ways of both the origins and some mystery.
Never said family friendly as harry potter near the end started killing people left and right. I just said copyright friendly hp rip which could be done.

Ok, MAYBE got a bit over-passionate about that old show. I was really hoping it would be good when annouced...and then I saw it...'sigh'. It is truly sad to think the best TV show or movie based on a RPG as of now...is the old Dungeons & Dragons cartoon.
And Harry didn't 'kill' anyone left and right, he just blasted them about. He did kill a few by the end of the series, but the body count was quite low for him. Just remember there is only one spell that kills instantly, and while I am sure the broken bones and bloody noses caused by being thrown 20 feet looks bad, they were at best knocked out, not dead.
I could use the lineage bit is a series...as it could provide a convienent backstory. It also allows expansion later on, so we don't always have the same basic rules and can interject mythology from other cultures (such as the golems). Admittedly, you would have to change or modify some stuff for TV, but it might work.
