What video game could possibly work as a movie?
I have looked over a lot of video game adapted movies, and most of them suck. After hearing that Halo might not be made into a movie, I started to think: "What video game could be adapted into a movie well?"

My sister bought me that shit for Christmas a few years ago.
I guess she assumed all games with a "PS2" label were essentially good. I've played it once.

Left 4 Dead contains the same problem as making a Call of Duty movie. If you made a CoD movie, you'd be making Saving Private Ryan. If you made Left 4 Dead, it'd pretty much be the Dawn of the Dead remake. There's no point in making a movie out of a game that's built on the cliches and fundamentals of what it is. You might as well just write your own script.

You went from bloody games to square-enix...COME ON!
..but hey, Ratchet and Clank and Jak are fucking great games, however, they'd make terrible movies. You easily get wrapped into their story as game characters. A movie, would just take those character and splatter them in front of you for an hour with different voice actors and personalites until you wished they were banished with Giligan.

I agree with all of the posts (except the guy who mentioned castlevania). There are alot of video games that could work as movies. The key is to find a director who isn't completely incapable of making a film that is at least watchable and a story that has some faith in the original creation. Alot of the video games coming out now are better than the movies at the local Cineplex and that's no accident. The video game creators have a better sense of good storytelling. I would like to see a Zelda movie, which was rumored to be in development about 2 years ago and I haven't heard a whisper about it since then.
