I was just curious and wanted to know, what is your favorite style of movie? If your answer is best served with a directorial style, or a cinematographic style, then please use them. Also, what is it about that particular style that you find fascinating and enjoyable. I would very much like to know.

that question's vague and badly worded, but it think i know what you mean.

I love David Fincher's distinct cinematography, i'm no camera expert, (editing and equipment are two things that make me aprehensive about taking a shot at film) and i don't know how he does it, the look of his films is always beautiful.

Let me try and re-phrase the question to avoid confusion. Is there a particular style of film (direction, cinematography, dialogue, etc.) that you particularly enjoy above others? By style I mean, the way the film looks, feels, and sounds. So more specific than genre.

I'll give an example of a director whose style I admire. I like Ron Howard movies (newer ones) because they tend to focus on the actors expressions and faces often and use those expressions to drive the plot.

I realize what I'm asking may seem vague, and I wish I could articulate more clearly what I want, but I can't really think of a way just yet.

I like when films show fights/choreography and show the action rather than being a quick cut fest.

I also like when you have the camera man running alongside the character (running tilts and all) so you feel the sense of urgency of the situation.

first thing that came to my head for this

I don't think I can use a whole movie as an example for this sort of question...
