If it's crap ... We'll tell you

King of the Koopas posted a statusHey, Godzilla here. With the army of remakes that have been hitting screens, some good (King Kong 2005, Piranha 3D), some bad (Day the Earth Stood Still), and others BEING remade (like my reboot coming soon) some people think about what films should be remade next? That's where this thread comes in. Discuss what films you want to see remade. I'll go first.
NOTE: DON'T BASH MY CHOICES! THEY ARE 100% MY OPINION!
1. JAWS
While the film is no doubt a timeless classic, the effects were really fake (even on 70's standards). Plus, with 2 crappy sequels (and Jaws 2 being the only GOOD sequel), a remake of Jaws could give that killer shark a chance to redeem himself to movie-going audiences. And make the shark CG and make the film 3D (REAL 3D, not the crappy 3D used in Jaws 3D)
2. SUPER MARIO BROS.
This film was crap. It was the Mario version of Godzilla 1998. But they should give Mario another chance at the big screen. I strongly think they should make it CG animated and have actual relation to the games. If they HAVE to make it live-action, make the CG monsters (especially Bowser) look like they do in the game.
3. CHILD'S PLAY
A lot of people actually WANT a remake of Chucky's first film. They want to see a straight-forward horror Chucky rather than the recent horror-comedy stuff. Make Chucky CG so he doesn't look completely fake.
4, FANTASTIC FOUR!
OK, they have GOT to bring back the Fantastic Four. They haven't had anything new in a long time. They need a reboot. Who's with me.
Now it's your turn. What do you want to see remade?

REMAKE JAWS?
your obviously not a movie fan!!
cgi sharks work eh?
Let's leave good 'ol Bruce alone shall we?
Permalink Reply by Godzilla on August 1, 2012 at 11:35am Yes, I am very much a movie fan. I just have different opinions. But, from what you showed me, you do have a good point.
Permalink Reply by Artie Fufkin on August 1, 2012 at 7:14pm I don't want any movies re-made as i say over and over again there is a tiny minority thus far that were worth it but there's 99% we could do without. instead of fawning over regurgitated shite let's have new and fresh stories to amuse us.
don't ya think?
Permalink Reply by SLAPJAW on August 1, 2012 at 9:58pm I agree. Enough of the bullshit "let's do a remake to cash in on an already successful formula" movies.
Permalink Reply by Proto on August 1, 2012 at 1:58pm Lets have them remake, or do a prequel to Reign of Fire, cause what I really wanted was Apache helicopters duking it out with dragons in the air.
Feeding the dragons skydivers was pretty lame.
Permalink Reply by Godzilla on August 1, 2012 at 2:42pm Dragon Wars actually did that. You heard of that movie? Not a lot of people liked it, but I did ONLY to see dragons destroy Modern Day Los Angeles, which was EXACTLY what they did.
Permalink Reply by Samuel on August 1, 2012 at 3:11pm I've made this confession before. Between Avatar and Snow white, I really want a live action Japanese made Princess Mononoke movie. Or Castle in the Sky would work too. Stardust is not accepted as a substitute.

Just kidding! Just kidding! That movie has been remade to death. The next person to remake that show should be jailed.
I would like to see some of the lesser known old shows remade. Some were really good in thier time.
1 The Cassandra Crossing - one of the most awesome lesser known movies of all time I think!
2 Damnation Alley - b movie but a good story and has potential.
3 Billy Jack - awesome movie!
4 Starship Troopers - deserves to be redone with the same feel as the book. The movie version was terrible.
5 Three For The Road - just really liked it for some reason.
