Recently i saw donnie darko and boy that might be the best movie ive ever seen but im not sure if ill ever watch it again. So i wanna know what movies struck you so intensely because of their insanity that you couldnt get them out of your head. Mine was donnie darko
I saw it when I was 11 or 12 years old and had never heard of Lord of the Flies before in any context. I found it while flipping through the movie channels and thought "this might be good." The scene where the kid runs away from the cave with the green glowstick and the others all think he's a monster and stab the hell out of him on the beach with spears while Ralph screams at them to stop made me physically ill. I have the image of the kid's body with bloody holes all in his back face down in the sand while waves crash into him burned into my memories - and it doesn't help that he moved a little as if he was still trying to get away. The rest of the movie is pretty F'd up too. I haven't read the book though.
Damn do I hate that book! As first when it ended I was like "meh". But the more I think about it, the more and more I really dislike it. I hate how he decided to kill the only character I really liked in such a gruesome and chalant way.
I hate it when bad things happen to little fat kids in movies. Simon's death was bad, but everything that happened to Piggy in that movie is awful. Especially the giant boulder to the head...
