Mencken Powell Graham posted a statusThe main reason as to why I'm making this discussion is because I actually heard my favorite on TV very recently and I'd like to hear your answer(s). A relatively simple question that can be easy to answer: what animated musical number excited you the most or gave you the most emotional response in film or television? A Top 5 can also be acceptable if you want to do so. Whether it'd be a Disney made number or otherwise doesn't matter. Although not many people would actually put this at their number one, for me it will always be this song
Although it is probably the shortest of most, if not all, of your favorite(s), it has always given me the most emotional response in any musical number I have ever heard in an animated show or film. It may not have as much pretty imagery as a regular animated musical number; however, I think that's why I love this song so much. Such simplicity gives, personally, a powerful emotional response because there isn't as much pretty things getting in the way of the overall point of this orphaned character. Also, I will admit this was the song that made me cry when I was younger and still gives me a TINY whenever I watch it And that tear has also increased in production because of the actress herself before anyone asks me that. Excuse me while I go get a tissue. . .
. . . now that is out of the way, tell me members of Spill.com. What is your favorite animated musical number and why?

the song has something of a great build-up from the start when she isn't sure of herself of what steps she'll be taking when she wants to find her family, and the end when she finally reaches St. Petersburg she's a lot more confident.
