If it's crap... We'll tell you

What is it about bad movies that we love to make others watch?

Okay, a bit back I did a blog asking the question why we recommend BAD movies to other people.

I just wanted to know. What is it about Bad movies that makes you recommend them to other people?

Personally, I love just watching people trying to find that "next" bad movie to watch.

I do. :(

As do I. Especially when someone mentions a movie, it's almost "automatic" for me to either name another one in return, or at least try to track a movie down that is worse than the one that was just recommended to me.

The Returner is my universal recommendation scapegoat. You should have a universal scapegoat, too. :)

Here is a bigger question: Why?

Why put yourself through the torture? Why put someone else through the same torture?

Why?

Its like picking at a scab.

Waste of your time, waste of other people's time... if its a bad movie, then its a bad movie... don't watch it.

Because it can be fun K6. Having to see a bad movie with friends can be a really good time, even with a bad movie. Especially if the movie is so bad that you can see the rigging for the lighting IN the frame, or the movie's effects are so painfully bad that you laugh each time you see it.

It's one of those things that just gets to you. Like Megaforce. It's a bad movie, and I can't deny the fact that it's bad on MULTIPLE levels. Yet, I love watching it, and I know others that love watching it BECAUSE it's so bad.

" Children shouldn't play with dead things " is my universal one.

I wish I could find that guy antithesis to weigh in on this topic. Last year he went on a marathon of bad movies and had seen literally hundreds of them.

He seems to have just up & dissapeared here recently.
Perhaps all the terrible excuses for cinema &
wastes of celluloid slowly drove him mad...

If I'm right about that, I can only hope it's the cool,
profitable upon death kind of insanity that
individuals like Van Gogh & Dostoyevsky
seemed to possess.
Transformers-Beautiful CGI visuals, Megan Fox, crappy plot and giant robots Woo Hoo!
