I find Rob Zombie to be a very interesting director at times, But his remake of Halloween was ok. The problem that i had with it is that he developed a back story for a character (Michael Myers) that was not need. Carpenter has said many times that Myers is a stand in for Evil. But it is hard to picture a person as pure evil if you have seen them be shit head little brat.
The point i'm trying to get is what if Zombie had remade something else. Something where the back story was important like say Friday the 13th.
To me this would have been much more suiting as Friday franchise has always been a simple cash grab and could use some original input and stronger character development
Not so. He made Devil's Reject's, which is a perfect homage to the 70's exploitation genre. (not sayin' you gotta like it, but you need to respect his talent.)
Matt, Jack, & Jon are three eloquent young gents. They philosophize, externalize, and harmonize on the most pressing subjects of the modern age. Actually, they mostly just talk about movies and current events, but the presentation is what counts.
