What has been the most difficult game you have ever played?

My question is in the title, so here is my answer, Metro 2033. That game was hard as hell when I played it, I constantly ran out of air, bullets, healthpacks, a it was a pain when I had to recharge my flashlight to see, and some of the creatures were really hard to kill, however it was a good game with a fairly well written story, it was just a very hard game. The sad part is I played the game on easy mode. Any else got one.

This looks pretty awesome, although I haven't heard of it before.

I never managed to beat Comix Zone for the Sega Genesis; that game is easily five times as frustrating as Dark Souls.

Contra

I rememebr not being able to beat castlevania III....time to face my fears, emulator time....

Recently, Deus ex:The human revolution. A very hard game for first time playing, but a fun and interested game too.

And a while ago, I was doing a Let's play video of the original NES version of, "Teenage mutant ninja turtles." Later on, that game gets balls hard! I had to rage quit!

That's all I got for now.

Human Revolution... hard? What difficulty setting are you speaking of? Granted, I still haven't completed it and I've been playing it on the normal difficulty setting but the game hasn't been hard... at all, and that's taking the majority of the augmentations out of context, the game gets even easier once you upgrade Jensen's physical abilities up to a point where you have to do the most minimum effort to get rid or silently get away from the baddies.

The sneaking away in particular is incredibly easy to do, I can grab huge boxes, move them around effortlessly and drop them to the ground with a loud banging sound and nobody will notice. Not to mention it really bothered me that once you knock out cold an enemy it's the equivalent of killing them since they won't get up ever again, the only difference is you get a different text message on your HUD once you perform the action.

I found it difficult because I was never familiar with the original game series. And wasn't aware of how easily and quickly you can die in combat.

But yes, as I went on, and replaying it, it is easier.

But if your not familiar with it, it can be difficult, very much.

And I played through it on normal.

that ninja turtles game was just ridiculous, there were some moments in that game that you needed a turtle with a decent range weapon to go ahead without taking any damage. enemies respawning really bugged me in that game.

I suck at the sims, can't quite get the grasp of that series at all.

Conkers pocket tales on the gameboy was unbeatable to me, In the last area of the game you have to do several challenges that involve pressing the <- and -> as fast as you can on the gameboy d-pad (in which one end goes up when you press the opposite end down) bloody impossible.

I also doubt that I will ever finish QWOP, my record was close to 50 metres, I can never recover after a while. I would suggest playing it if you haven't already, interesting game;

Megaman 2.. still haven't beat it. probably never will, unless they add the raccoon suit of shame from the Mario.

Well I'm kinda jumping into playing Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty, as I've never beaten the 2nd one but I have beatne the 3rd one. I don't know if it's because I haven't played this game in a long time, but I am currently stuck in this area on the ship and I keep getting bombarded with enemies surrounding me, lol but yay I don't know if this is the hardest game I've played, but it certainly is one of the worst for me.
