I walked away from that movie thinking "that sucked"....after i really started reflecting on the movie it just made me angry. It stole 2 hours of my life that I want back
Mission to Mars. Whether it was the completely stupid "look it's the future because I'm driving a superfuturistic car but calling it a 'classic'" line, having them fix a hole in the hull of their ship with Dr. Pepper, Jerry O'Connell mapping frog DNA out of M&M's, Don Cheadle working on a problem for years, only to have them solve it within 5 minutes of setting down, the crappy CG alien and it's "oooh, all humans are actually seeded alien life" or any of the other horrifically bad scenes and dialog in that movie, it was start to finish a complete waste of A-list talent like Cheadle and Gary Sinese. I found myself constantly yelling inside my head throughout the whole film, things like "you jackasses, she doesn't have to fly all the way out and all the way back, she just needs to fly there, and some of the way back, and then one of the other guys goes out to get her, and so on - you just killed a member of the crew because you don't understand basic math!"
It is - to date - the only film that I've ever actually requested my money back for.
Eragon- the movie was just soooooo bad, it truly felt like torture...The acting, the script ahhh and the book wasn't half bad, actually compared to the movie it was genius!
Rob Zombie's Halloween remakes was a disgrace to John Carpenter's Masterpiece plus the movies sucked in general and the reimagining wasnt shit i seen fan made films better then that it was just rip offs from friday the 13th and other movies
What I love about that movie is that it's both emotionally and techically brilliant. On the emotional side, we see Mary witnessing the exceution of her only son, but does nothing to stop it because she knew that this was suppose to happen, that it is part of God's plan to save the human race from sin. Maia Morgenstern, who played Mary, did an incredible job showing the part of a heartbroken mother, but determined to see the whole thing through for her son. We also see Jesus being humiliated by the Roman gaurds and his own people, and yet he prays to God for forgiveness to all of them. I think that's the whole message of the film, to be able to give forgiveness to people who have wronged you.
On the techical side, the cinematography is beautiful, I love the music (I even own the soundtrack), the costumes and settings looks very authetic, I love the fact that Mel Gibson have all the actors speak the native tongues of the times to make it more real. And, yes, even the beating and the gore shown is very well made and looks shockingly real that I couldn't help but admire the artistry.
Those are my reasons as to why I love this movie, and maybe to a lot of other people as well.
