Christopher Nolan, of course!

Ben Affleck

Clint Eastwood

Martin Scorsese

I really enjoy reading the replies.  Lots of true fans of cinema on this forum.

My take on the topic - I tend not to do that anymore.  Could be that I'm somewhat jaded, but honestly because I don't want to set myself up for yet another disappointment.  *2010 Robin Hood immediately comes to mind.*

The way I go about movies nowadays:  Should the premise looks interesting, I'll give it a go, and not be distracted and/or overzealous by the cast and director.

The less I expect/know, the better.

Scorsese, The Coen brothers, Cronenberg, Paul Thomas Anderson oh yeh eastwood and Fincher also
Alexander Payne for "The Descendents." Tarantino's next effort as well. Already saw the latest Malick, but he apparently has a couple new projects about to happen, so definitely looking forward to those. Soderbergh, just saw "Contagion," and loved it. Can't wait for his next piece. Also, Fincher's "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" remake looks really freaking good. Also the next P.T. Anderson picture. I also heard Wes Anderson has a piece coming soon. Looking forward to that as well.
Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer.

Scorsese for sure.

Peter Jackson, "The Adventures of Tintin" looks great.

And I hate to be the Nolan fan boy, but Nolan, I have high hopes for "The Dark Knight Rises."

Paul Thomas Anderson

Wes Anderson

Alfonso Cuaron

David Lynch

Martin Scorsese

David Fincher

Michel Gondry
