What comic property should get the Harry Potter treatment?

When news of the Justice League movie idea came out, I couldn't help but think DC is doing it all wrong.  I don't see how that movie would work outside of the solid animated stuff they do, trying to make a darker, more realistic Justice League just doesn't seem possible to pull off and be good.  They can't copy the Avengers blueprint, they don't have the characters.

This got me to thinking, what DC property would be good for DC/WB to make a nice movie run like Harry Potter that released 8 movies in 10 years using mostly unknowns in the main roles for cheap and signed for the entire run.  So, what character could you see being able to sign relative unknowns for the main role(s) to a long contract to pump out 8 movies in 10 years that could be made on a more modest budget each, like in the $35-50 million per movie range?

I want to hear ideas from any comic, DC, Marvel, Indie, anything.

I first thought of DC/Vertigo's Hellblazer, John Constantine would be perfect for this treatment and later thinking Punisher would also fit well as something that stands alone outside of crossovers tying into the rest of their comic universes.
