I Thought there should be a thread where we can all could discuss books we are currently reading, recently read, or are planning to read. Feel free to provide your own recommendations/opinions about books you like/dislike.

Right now, I'm reading The Rum Diary by Hunter S. Thompson. It's no Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but still a good read. He hadn't fully developed his Gonzo approach when he wrote it, more Hemingway than Hunter.

Currently reading The Reptile Room From the Series Of Unfortunate events, the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and Just Finished Changes from the dresden files

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

I'm 55 pages in. Not sure how I feel about it yet, but I'm determined to finish it.

The Iron Druid Chronicles,

really fun character ,and he has a talking dog that makes everyone wish they had a talking dog.

so far I have finished

Hounded - great introduction to a not so super super hero

Hexed - he starts to show off his stuff

Hammered - gets in wayy over his head , cant wait to find out what happens to him and how th hell he gets out of his situation.

Exogene by T.C. McCarthy

I really enjoyed the first in the series, Germline... but this one seems, odd. First 50 pages involve mass murder of cats they raised from kittens, what I think is lesbian... psycho love. I don't know, we'll see.

Edit:
To be clear, I have nothing against lesbians. Its just how it is portrayed that confuses me.

John Dies at the End. I've been putting it off forever... but now that a movie is commin out, I'm reading it.

It is.. trippy. That said, its really good so far.

John dies at the end is such a good book! Are you enjoying the book enough to look forward to the second book?

bunch of Kurt Vonnegut stuffs.

Okay, I got The Cat's Cradle and Breakfast of Champion and one of his short stories collections.

Slaughterhouse-Five is my personal favorite from this guy.

A Song of Ice and Fire : A Clash of Kings

'Foundling' by D.M. Cornish, is the first book of a fantasy trilogy, called Monster Blood Tattoo. I'm currently on chapter six, and I simply can't wait to get to the end.

A Wild Sheep Chase by Haruki Murakami

gotta love Murakami. His writing is genius, man.
