Weddings!

I can't seem to stop watching reality shows about weddings lately: Say Yes to The Dress, Bulging Brides, and Rich Bride Poor Bride. They're all about crazy people freaking out and spending enormous amounts of money and effort on their ideal wedding. I have to admit that I'm sickly amused by watching adults stamping around demanding frivolities and throwing tantrums over things like invitation envelopes and ribbon. As I never plan on getting married, I can watch it and find it all hilarious. It will never happen to me...

But then again, who expects this sort of crap?

It makes me very curious. There's a big age range here, so I'd like to get some views on the subject. Did anyone here have a big fancy wedding? Do any of the younger folks dream of their special day? Will any of the married folks admit to screaming matches with their loved ones over cut flowers and cake?

I'd get a wedding dress design airbrushed on my body, and pick up a dirty hobo off the street to play the groom. Then we'd head to one of those quicky wedding chapels for the ceremony and spend the rest of the night partying and getting wasted.

which is for the better because if you were able to be married to him you would be legally bound to care for him.

Though that would suck if I ever actually got married and had to relocate my hobo husband for an annulment.
