As you people already watch Watchmen and The Dark Knight and these two films don't just rely on that old standby -- being "dark" and "edgy" -- they also take their subject matter into truly adult territory, not just in terms of sex and violence (as in Watchmen in particular) but also in theme. The superhero movie has grown up this past year, and it's Snyder and Christopher Nolan who we can thank for that.
So tell me which one is better and why ?
better story, better acting, better cinematography, more substance with more character development that wasn't painfully predictable, and all around more entertaining...
ha i knew you would start with the gay jokes, all iM saying is DOES a film really need nudity to be good, oh also the acting was pretty bad at times, I mean Silk Spectre II was terrible.
I disagree. I've heard numerous reviews ripping up Silk Spectre II but IMO I thought she was more annoying in the graphic novel than the movie. I thought she played the part real well and the sex scene's length really shouldn't be an issue to any adult.
A film does not need nudity to be good, but if it's following a template of a novel where there is a love scene where the female is nude, so then you better uphold or face the horny fanboys that will break down your door demanding their cartoon fantasies to be translated into real life.
I agree with someone else that said that its uncomfortable to watch a sex scene with complete strangers, if I wanted that then I would track down a porno theatre and whack myself silly.
I still think they could have skipped the sex and maybe toned down with the violence a little bit, it seemed to me they were just putting bits in it because it was never going to be a film for 'Kids'.
I still loved the film, Im not going to hate it just for that though..
