If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Grejo joined Wodenson's groupI was watching the All Your History series on Machnima on their YT channel. Everytime I watch the series, I notice several videogame developers (people and companies) that annoy the shit out of me because I cringed at what they did and why they did things.
For example, John Carmack from iD software. He is a great progammer, but his philosophy on games and the way he handled iD over the years just makes me cringe. He really has a very '90s attitude about the industry and doesn't want to adapt to the new standards of the industry; that whole "story doesn't matter" comment he made got on my nerves especially when you look at modern games where the story does matter a great deal. I played RAGE and it felt old as far as gameplay was concerned and the story was just meh. Pretty, but the background didn't make up for the substance in it.
That's just me though, how about you all?

Permalink Reply by Cambo on August 8, 2012 at 7:07am I respect Peter Molyneux for some of his previous works... but I hate how he makes promises that are never delivered, he dreams big but he forgets his 'scope' of what can be accomplished in a certain time frame.

Not much ranks higher than a failed fist bump, or for that matter, handshake... kill him.

Yes, you have delivered some great games that I have loved in the past, but weren't you a game publisher your self that ran Interplay into the ground and then stiffed your staff and investors for years over pipe dreams with no hope like the Fallout MMO? So hard to understand why other publishers would be hesitant.
Well, he got his second chance from fans, I just don't have much faith it goes beyond one more title.
Permalink Reply by DHood90 on August 10, 2012 at 6:14pm He left Interplay in 2000 so alot of that crap with the Fallout MMO and the other nonsense with Interplay in the 2000s was more from Herve Caen (who also owned Titus Software) than Fargo.
Permalink Reply by LunaticLMD on August 8, 2012 at 11:26pm Umm... David Cage crossed my mind. After Heavy Rain came out , he said the game sold over a million copies, but two million people had played the game. and insert piracy or used games not making him money comment here.
He should be happy the game did as well as it did, Like four year development cycle and Heavy Rain was what we got? Okaaay.
Edit: Oh, and the developers at CD. Look, if Lara Croft is in a situation where she's about to be sexually assaulted, just say it. Man up, and stop trying to get around it. You're just making yourselves look bad.

Permalink Reply by Jason Straub on August 15, 2012 at 11:50pm I think that most of the developers featured in this movie came across as annoying, but I don't think the filmmakers really let them get into the games industry and explain their rationale for hating modern gaming.
