Dragonball 2: Reborn
White Chicks 2
Wild Hogs 2
Ghost Rider 2
Mummy 4: Rise of the Aztecs
The pre-planned G.I. Joe sequel
All for the same reason: Their predecessors were some of the worst films I've ever seen, except Wild Hogs wasn't that bad. But Mummy 3, G.I. Joke, Ghost Rider, etc........ they all sucked!
The Descent: Part 2 - The first film ended on such a beautifully ambiguous note. It felt so FINAL. Adding anything to it could only spoil what might be the greatest horror film of all time.
That's the only one that really rubs me the wrong way. The others, I can easily ignore.
The one upcoming sequel that actually sounds promising is [*REC] 2. There's a lot of universe to explore in that series, and I can see it being done without compromising the original.
The first two Mummy movies were alright. They were basically a bunch of Egyptian cliches, but if you can adjust to their cliches, they're actually really fun films. However, Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was one of the worst films I've ever seen in my life; it's beyond cliche, the effects are ridiculous, the jokes are beyond unfunny, and the ending pretty much killed the already flat-on-its-back film.
I also concur. Whoever that guys is, that is supposed to be playing Brendan Fraser son, he looked more like his little brother. Talk about bad casting.
