I keep hearing everyone rave about the book, but the posters and promos for Twilight really do look like a DTV movie. Hopefully it'll bomb at the box office and it can go straight to DVD by January ala The Love Guru.

Until several weeks ago, I never even heard about Twilight. Since the film is based on a popular book or book series or whatever, the fans of the original are the ones that are hyping the hell out of the film. I'll reserve judgment until I actually see it. I'm too lazy to actually want to read the book, so I'm apathetic at this moment.

I'm waiting till it comes out before i make a final decision on this, however i am feeling a little Deja Vu in the sense that this movie reminds me of the Covenant that came out two years ago, and was hyped up but turned out to be a flop and lead one of the weakest box offices in three years at the time.

All I have to say is I am tired of vampires and zombies. Twilight will suck, it looks like it was made for a pre-teen audience and scene kids. Also, somewhat off topic but I am ready for The Wolfman.

I never heard about twilight until the trailer popped up, and my first reaction was "man, that looked like SHIT"...
New trailers made it look even worse. I'm sorry, but the book might be good, but wow... just wow. Makes underworld look "great".
