Is this a true to life hologram? Like truly in three dimensions? This looks like other gimmicks I've seen that tried to pass off an image being projected onto a thin movie theater-esque screen material as 'holographic'. Especially at 3:50-3:52, you see the from the side and he is completely flat and at this slight angle.
Still, we're getting there. Not quite this:

What's so overwhelming about this? They did the same thing with Elvis on American Idol a few years ago. Its an image on a screen in the background. At 4:12 you can see the flat image behind Snoop Dog.
