If it's crap... We'll tell you

So Here it is. The big movie review of toy story one and two in 3D!!!.

So. Well. For some people it will be what they expect. An over hyped Gimmick of Epic proportions. But then there are the few who enjoyed watching these two movies as a kid, and will love seeing them on the big screen one more time. me, im on the lighter side of this. I actually was born when toy story 1 came out. No, not on the same day, but the same year, 1995. For me toy story was a big part of my life. I had seen Toy story 2 in theaters, but never the first. So this was a big part that I was aiming for when I saw this double feature. And I got what I thought it would be. 2 movies with minimal 3D effects added, not to much, but a lot less.

I expected more then I got, well, what I thought.

The 3D moments could be separated into these:

.Moments of wide landscapes

.Lots and lots of Binocular and Character scoping (Especially when Emperor Zergs character is show for the first time and we see the view from the back of his head).

.Scenes when characters are shown from close up

.Car scenes (Hint: The RC Car scene in Toy Story 1).

.Scenes of Snow, Weapons being shot, and other objectives that pop out of the screen.

So Basically not a lot to work with, and it didn't really give the movies much Justice.

But....

One thing I will say is that the audience in the theater were Laughing and singing along to almost every song in both movies. This, not because of the 3D, but because of the Nostalgia of both the films.

I could only imagine about 2 WOW moments when I was blown away by the 3D (both in which happen in the begging of toy story 2) but nothing really special.

So whats the conclusion from this?

A:If you want to see these movies in full glory, You might as well stay home and watch it on DVD or the Upcoming blu-ray formats of both.

B: If your a toy story fanatic or you just want to see it in 3D with the kids, It's a Matinee.

But this could vary with different people. Both movies are the same as they were, with just little moments of 3D which are fun, but it gets boring after a while when there are no 3D sequences.

Note that both of these movies were not intentionally suppose to be in 3 dimensional format, so the 3D isn't really that much of Eye-Candy as much as movies like "Cloudy with a chance.." or "Coraline", But is still Enjoyable if you are looking for time to spend with the family, or your a Fan of both of these Cinematic master pieces.

Also, You get a Sneak of Toy Story 3 which looks excellent.

Yeah, The second half almost a good portion of the audience left were I went to. It wasn't that good to stay for both, but at least you get to see the Trailer for Toy story 3

Wow, maybe the audience left because they realized they got suckered into paying for a movie ticket of something they could pop into the DVD player at home for free?

Or maybe they just wanted to see the trailer for 3 and didn't care about 1 and 2.

Yep, mabye because they wanted to see the trailer for three, or just felt like one movie was enough...
