I just watched Quarantine and...

...

No.

NO.

Quarantine is just as pointless as the Freddy and Jason remakes.

Its like they started production as soon as [Rec] came out.

Because making a whole new movie is far more cost-efficient then slapping some subtitles on, and hoping the audience hasn't degraded to the point where reading is a chore............................

Hmmm... Most of these I have recently so they are fresh in my mind...
Martyrs - cause its so in your face and relentless in its violence
The Broken - cause its the exact opposite, most of the creepiness is in your head
Antichrist - Holy Mother of God, this movie was good! And shocking! And it takes a lot to shock me!
Fido - not sure whether to classify this a horror or comedy but I absolutely LOVE Billy Connelly as the best zombie ever!
Let the Right One in - best vampire movie I've ever seen
High Tension - scared the bejeezuz outta me! The French make the best horror!

Hi GojiBoy!

REC beats Quarantine hands down. Even though its the same film almost shot for shot, REC is so much creepier and the atmosphere of the film is so much heavier, thus making it a far scarier movie. What annoyed me was Quarantine was just an EXACT american copy and didn't catch the horror in the same way. You need to see both to compare them then you'll see what I mean... :)

Hey, Emma, how is my favorite Canuck doing? WOW! These look INTENSE, have to track these down!
"Fido" was funny, "Let the Right One in" is a modern classic, "High Tension" was great until the end..TICKED me off! * SO the video footage in the gas station lied?* Thanks for sharing, Emma!

I like the list. Although, I'm not too into The Exorcist myself. Just couldn't find that one scary.

Hey, John, thanks for commenting. "The Exorcist" really didn't scare you at ALL, huh? Care to share how old you were when you saw it? * just curious *

My favorite would be:
1. 28 Days and 28 Weeks Later, these, for me, are the only zombie flick that I took seriously.
2. Ringu, couldn't sleep at night after watching it.
3. The Blairwitch Project, it speaks for everyone I think.
4. Rec, same reason.
5. Ju-on, everything that reminds me of that film such as cats, phone, attic etc... should be obliterated.

For the oldies:
1. Jaws
2. The Exorcist
3. The Thing
4. Alien
5. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Hey, Pandamanic, thanks for sharing, sweetie!
hmmm.. like I said everyone's lists are subjective..
"Saw" first one I thought was inventive, but then...meh *notice I said inventive, Not scary*
"Ichi" is DISTURBING.. but didn't Scare me... "Audition" did!
"Sleepaway Camp" pt. 1 : One of the MOST Twisted endings! But saw this WAY too late..
*had I seen it when it first came out..prob. would have scared me*
"Tourist Trap" struck me like "Rest Stop" & "Hostel" gore Gore GORE where's the scares?
"Death Trap" & "Planet Terror" LOVED seeing both these films as "Grindhouse"!
"PT" was full of gore..didn't scare me, but LOVED it anyway, & LOVED "DT" too, ..Only Quentin!

I just saw "Rosemary's Baby" & "Drag Me to Hell" and I wanted to be SCARED, but was SO disappointed, Esp. in "D M t H" Raimi has Lost his Horror touch..a lot of CG gore, was SO predictable, and I'm sad to say boring, "The Gift" *which I Know is NOT Horror* is a MUCH better film!

To those who LOVE the ABOVE mentioned films, no "disRespect", that is COOL, I LOVE movies 90%
of Y'all would scoff at, but hey, that's what makes this site Fun! Sharing our LOVE of movies!

Again MUCH Love, Pandamanic!
