Do you mean favorite singers as in their vocal ability or as in their ability to write lyrics? What if you really like someone's voice but hate their music or they write amazing poetry which makes up for being a dull singer? What about the rest of the group? I know several vocalists who I don't like as much as I once did because they've switched groups and changed their sound to do so.

I like a lot of different Music for a lot of different reasons...

So I will just throw out Vocalist I like listening to...

Bradley Nowell, Jack Johnson, Roy Orbison, Freddy Mercury, BB King, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton to name a few...

As for Rap vocally I always really liked Nate Dog

diamanda galas - plague mass

these are just a few of the top of my head...all create an emotional response when i listen to them.
