Reading about hundreds of superheroes and teams of heroes and for some reason they always seem to have one guy or girl how isnt white on the team. Which apparently to them means that "hey guys we're not racist"
then i see spinoffs where they highlight a character, but i hear people say that i won't read this because its tokenism. They don't want to read what they believe to essentially be an affirmative action comic, and i agreed with that.

Until realized that without those comics we'd we'd have next to nothing. When i think about a show like staic shock.
I I realize that it was the token black show of the kids WB. You got to take it where you can get it. Very few non white superheroes are being written or created or given there own books. Every once in while i'll see a storm mini series or jon stewart get his own issue in a current green lantern storyline but thats about it. I could ask you guys to name 5 asian superheroes featured in marvel or DC and i'm pretty sure you would have to pull the marvel and dc encyclopedias for that. Its the status quo. i plan on getting into the into the business one day and making to much needed changes but until then poele need to stop complaining about tokenism unless they plan on doing something about it.
I will however recommend unknown soldier, and scalped

these guys aren't superheroes but they are fantastic characters staring in there own books.
