So my brother is paying an extended visit. We haven’t seen each other in quite a while and over the last week I’ve been sort of pressing him to do something together. Sort of rekindle our youth. I suggested what would probably be the obvious to most; camping, a road trip, a bit of time at the coast. Nah! What does he want to do?
Build a Co-Host 3000!!!
I first thought it was basically going to be a Co-Host shell with speakers for ears and a waveform display for the audio in the mouth. Then he starts going on about MP3 compatibility and “pop-out-video”. That’s when I knew that, unlike the real Co-Host, he wasn't bullshittin'. I’m pretty sure he’ll have more ideas tomorrow but I want to hear some suggestions so I can start sourcing hardware.
So we’ve got a basic plan but I’m gonna put it out for you guys to make suggestions. What kind of features should a Co-Host have? I’m pretty sure between the two of us we could knock out anything short of laser eyes. Also, size is a constraint. I would like it to be no more than a foot tall (preferably around ten inches). That may limit what we can fit in, but is volumetrically plenty of room if you use it right.
A special thanks to Spill members
El Gabster and
Stephanie and for the inspiration.

I’ll keep you all up to date with a photojournal or something (suggestions for that too, please). The earlier you get suggestions in, the earlier we can tart writing code. Then you can follow the marvellous misadventures of Lab Rat and the Plague Doctor in their quest to build their very own Co-Host 3000!
P.S. This might stop him from stealing my bloody movies!! How the hell do you lose an Box Set when you're next door?!?!
