If it's crap... We'll tell you

There are many theories to time travel but in my opinion, the way time travel works is that whenever you go back into the past, you create an alternate reality. So basically, I'm saying that time isn't straight, it goes into different directions. What do you think?

I second that.

I agree, Primer's probably is the best form of time travel ever presented in a film.

If only the movie itself were any good.

It's true the movie is awful, but the time travel was neat-o.

If time travel is possible then someone would have came from the future to tell us.

Time travel is only possible with worm holes, but since worm hole have such a great vacuum effect it would devour you into dust and plus all the exotic material that it's needed to create a worm hole it's nearly impossible to do so. But it can be done! All those ufo people claim to see are actually time travelers of our future but some how they will never land or visit us because to them we are just a bunch of neanderthals and we won't be mentally prepared to even comprehend them !!!!

I think that once you arrive in the past you change it completely because you add your own and the time machines matter to that past world and once you change the past you change the future. So you could never return to the same future you came from. The effects of the newly added matter to the environment would be minimal in the grand scale but you may have completely changed the future in every way you can percieve.

I think that even the act of you travelling into the past could have an effect on everything, even if you stayed there for a microsecond everything could change.

Scenario: You go to the past and you pull a leaf off a tree, in time some events put in place originally by that leaf's presence in that exact spot do not come to pass eg: A fly cannot land on it and has to land only a few inches away, in the eyeline of a lizard, said lizard eats the fly changing both their futures forever. The fly does not live on to engage in every other action and therefore shape time.

Even if the lizard didn't eat it the abscence of that leaf would monumentally change every event the fly participates in and if at some point that fly or anything it ever was to interact with affected the life of a human it would completely change everything (actually it wouldn't even have to interact with a human we are largely insignificant). Even if you don't touch any leaves even if you don't even step outside the machine some trace left from your millisecond of presence changes every following event, ever.

To say that we are a product of our time is a gross understatement, we are every facet of our time. Even things happening thousands of lightyears away affect us every millisecond. Everything that happens, ever has both the potential to end everything and to change everything.

If you like the world you live in now even remotely a time machine is a bad idea

Ok, let's face it, we're obviously never going to get technology that allows us to travel back into the past. Now I'll be honest, I'm no science geek, so this explanation won't sound altogether too convincing, but if we ever developed technology to travel back in time, we would probably have come to this day and age, and we would've seen someone come back already, so yeah.

For time travel to be possible it would have to violate every known law of physics.
