Come on dude, it's Tim Burton. What do you expect. He's going to take a franchise and add in his "emo" shit that he always does. Look at Willy Wonka for example. Perfectly good movie, Tim Burton gets involved and boom--- Willy Wonka meets "Emo".

HBC is CG'ed effect I bet.

As far as the plot? Yeah, it sounds a LOT like Return to Oz just under a different name. Alice's appeal IS the fact that she's a child tossed into a wild world and has to deal with it AND still hold onto her innocence to adapt so well. This sounds like a reason to see Alice using "adult" language to go "Damn, you fuckers are crazy".

Apparently she's going to cut off heads and stuff, and everybody is going to be a psychopath. The plot is ridiculous on Wikipedia. It sounds like a horrible script and just a reason to be weird. I wish Tim Burton was a good filmmaker, but he has never been a good director and nor should I expect him to be in the future.

There's one good thing; the colors aren't washed out. I'm sure the visual shots will be stunning, but I'll probably come out of it the same way I came out of Sweeney Todd, feeling sick to the stomach and wishing it never existed.

Tim Burton makes me physically ill, and there is no cure for him.

Honestly, what do you expect. Once they remove the "child aspect" of the Alice character, they automatically open up the door TO do stuff like Beheadings, cussing, sexual induendos and obvious "adult" material. Which is sad, because that not only ruins the whole character of Alice to begin with, but it also ruins the whole APPEAL of the story.

And I'm willing to bet 100 bucks right now, that somewhere in the film will be a worm, snake, catepillar, or other "Tube" like creature that has a white/black striped outfit/fur/appearance.... JUST like the sandworms in Beetlejuice, the Snake in Nightmare Before Christmas, and of course almost ALL Burton films somewhere.

Have you ever read Alice in Wonderland? Cause if you have you'd know that Burton is the perfect person to make a movie out of it (not that the animated film wasnt great), it has alot of really dark undertones. Not to down play his debasement of Willy Wonka but i think this will turn out awesome. I still hate to see Deep as the Hater though, but you know Burtan can’t do a damn think without Deep.

Burton needs Depp more than Depp needs Burton.

Honestly, Johnny Depp would have a much better career if he didn't make so many Tim Burton movies. I'm biased though, since I hate everything I've ever seen Tim Burton direct. I still haven't seen Ed Wood or Big Fish, but honestly at this point I don't want to.

I hate really dislike Johnny Deep and i like Tim Burton, so i am going to have to dissagree with you.
The only reason i tolerate Deep at all is because of Burton.

I agree. Tim Burton is definetly rigth person to make movie about Alice In Wonderland. I think he can greate just the kind of atmosphere that this movie needs.
