If it's crap... We'll tell you

I almost never disagree with this guy, he is spot on about this film series. He's has pretty much shown why I liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull more then Temple of Doom. He also has a good point about how today's audience are more picky then the audience of before.

Seriously all you Indiana Jones and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull haters, watch this and give it some thought.

It all depends on timing, distance from where the bomb went off, and type of nuclear bomb used.

“There was a scene in a hit movie last year in which the famous hero, facing a blast from a nuclear test, hid in a refrigerator,” Foreign Minister Hirofumi Nakasone said in a speech against nuclear weapons.
“I was surprised by the movie’s lack of awareness of a nuclear bomb blast. A nuclear explosion destroys everything in an instant. I felt concern that this kind of easy-going image might spread around the world.”

"Most likely you will be instantly vaporized by the over 6000°C temperature of the bomb. (Which will melt and vaporize the lead, the refrigerator and pretty much everything within the blast radius.)

Suppose that you somehow survive, you still have to deal with the radiation. Gamma radiation requires a 1cm thick lead layer to decrease its intensity by 50%. So you pretty much require a 1 meter thick lead bunker to be anywhere close to safe if you are close to the blast, even then the dosage would probably lead to cancer later in your life.

Let's not even get to the fact that in a nuclear blast, the very air is irradiated. Without a breathing apparatus, Indiana Jones would go the way of Alexander Litvinenko even if he survived the blast itself".
First off, you can't believe everything you read on the internet. All the stuff you posted doesn't come from actual scientist who have actaully studied the fact. It comes from someone behind a computer screen who uses the best of THEIR knowledge to answer someone else's question.

Also none of the links you posted, link up..... one person says the nuclear explosion would burn the thing instantly, another person says the explosion wouldn't kill him, but the fridge flying at 100mph would kill him.

It's obvious that we will never know what part of the explosion would kill him, or even if he could survive if the odds are against him. It's just a movie it's not scientifically accurate, almost no movie is.

Here's a question, If you were standing in the middle of a nuclear test site and the bomb was about to go off, what would you do?
I know I'm right. We aren't arguing about the film we are arguing that someone could survive a nuclear explosion if they went inside a fridge...
And that's why if the odds were place in your favor in every way possible....

If you were placed in a lead lined fridge with thick as hell metal, a certain distance away from where the explosion was, you could survive.
Uhh no, a fridge is not a nuclear bunker.
I never said it was one, I'm just saying that even through it's highly unlikely and odds are if you were to do it you would most likely die...

It is possible to a small percent
Who the hell cares? It's an Indiana Jones movie for Christ's sake, he can survive anything. End of story.
Does anybody else suspect a deleted scene in the end of the movie where Indiana Jones is lying in a hospital somewhere, his head shaved bald, coughing blood and dying with cancer or lukemia.
Because I think Spielberg might have cut that part off.
I Guess it was too realistic.

I just knew the scene where they jump out the air plane with the inflated raft would be in there. They would have ALOT of broken bones. The Mack charecter was stupid too, but I love all the movies!

actually i like all the indiana jones films, yeah there are definetly some moments which are just bad. and i enjoyed kingdom of the crystall skull & temple of doom. when the 4th movie came out, i was just happy i'd get another indy adventure, i was getting bored of watching the original three over and over again.
