Things you love/hate in a movie

Things I like:

Long stretches of clever and developing dialogue (Clerks, Pulp Fiction, etc.).
Anything I don't see coming...honestly, how hard is an unexpected twist to find nowadays?
Movies that know that they're over-the-top and don't have any reservations about going all out (Check out Versus if you want to know what I mean - love that movie).
Excellent use of black and white cinematography

Things I don't like:

Non-first-person movies that use shaky cams (Quantum of Solace - that first chase on the rooftops made me want to light the screen on fire). I could tolerate the Bourne movies though because the shaky cam did justice to all the anarchy going on around the character.
Useless dialogue that draws the movie out when it would actually be better with it cut.
Choppy action scenes that aren't done by Sam Raimi.

Love:
Twist endings
Movies that play with your head
Funny one liners (it varies)
Risky endings (I always admire how they destroyed the earth at the end of Knowing. Nobody would have taken such a risky ending)


Hate:
Annoying/stupid/cliched characters
A movie full of cameos (E.g. Wolverine)
Bad remakes of classics
Bad lead actors

Love
those funny one liners in action movies
good background music with a scene
narration in a movie (apart from in spider-man 3)

hate
Stupid music choices in movies
the cliche part of the buddy movies where the buddies have an argument and fallout
when movies are drastically changed from their source material
when happy endings feel forced

What music didn't fit in there will be blood?

My answer is something I love and hate in movies.

Realism. I love it when a director (Mann for example) goes to length to make something seem very real but I hate it when they almost stop the movie just to show you that they learned something (Mann does this a lot) that exists in the real world. Its just retared.
