FMC posted a statusName an element in movie that if done bad will get an automatic Fuck You for it. If writing and dialogue is terrible it will most likely destroy the movie for me. It is the only reason I hate Transformers. It is one of the many reasons I hate GI Joe. And it is the reason No Country for Old Men is Better then Sex. What do you think spillios!
Permalink Reply by Cambo on March 3, 2012 at 5:46am I absolutely hate it in a film when they play a baaad joke and even the characters laugh or smile it off, makes me cringe. prime example would be in the film 'Swat' when they laugh at a guy that doesn't want to eat 'an all American hotdog'. ha ha hurrdurrhurrderp

Cannibal Holocaust might be a great movie...but was it really important to show real animals get killed in the most gruesome ways?
Oh yeah...and rape scenes. I´m looking at you, Irreversible! Not only do you feel the need to hit us over the head with a fire extinguisher over and over again, you also made me sit through a nightmarish 10-minutes-long rape sequence. I kinda get what the movie was trying to achieve with that but come on...you can make a point in a shorter amount of time.
Permalink Reply by MegaJabboy on March 3, 2012 at 3:18pm I don't think rape scenes break a movie unless you support it or I can't condone it. Otherwise I don't care and don't think it should be held against the movie. Oh and I LOVE violence.
Permalink Reply by DickDuck on March 3, 2012 at 3:52pm Maybe it wasn´t the rape scene that rubbed me the wrong way but the length of the sequence. One of my favourite movies of all time is Blue Velvet and this one had a rape scene I was "perfectly fine" with. It was tastefully shot (if you can say something like that) and it lasted the right amount of time.
Permalink Reply by MegaJabboy on March 3, 2012 at 8:53pm hmm... Yeah 10 minutes is kinda sleazy for a rape scene...
Permalink Reply by Samuel on March 3, 2012 at 3:57pm It's minor, but the end credits song affects how I come away from a movie.
It's on my worst movie ever list, but I did see Watchmen twice, and I literally tried to run out of a theater before the credits started. It was just too awful.
Same thing with "The Prestige." It's not an awful song but it was just absolutely unnecessary and lame and did not fit at all with the last shot of the film.

this film represents EVERYTHING i hate in movies today. Unlikable characters, sexist characters, over the top vulgarity for no reason that goes on for too long. All rolled into one, despicable film.
When something significant happens after the credits have passed that indicate a sequel is coming.
