I started reading this a few weeks ago and it is fucking great. It's an absolutely brilliant story that doesn't pull any punches, and nothing demonstrates this more than vol.8. Now I don't want to give anything away for people that haven't read this yet, but for those of you that have gotten this far in the story, Holy Shit.... wtf just happened?
Well, if I am not mistaken, volume 8 is where the Governor and the main characters throw down and pretty much scatters the group. Rick's wife and daughter look to bite it.
The current arc has the remaining members listening to some guy who says the gov't is still operational in DC.
How did you like "the herd" and the other survivors blaming Rick? I like the current advertising gimmick "The Dead do not stalk, do not track.." looks like Kirkman is going to borrow a little from 28 Days.
It's really hard not to scroll up and read since I'm not that far - I've somehow managed to put off catching up and I should definitely rectify that. o_0
