BTW, the THING looks like SOME OL' BULLSHIT! How dare Hollywood remake this classic!

Well...the 80s The Thing is a remake itself...I'm a bit confused if this is a remake or a direct prequel to the 80s Thing since it just looks so similar
It's a prequel. If you notice, the giant ace block that they have is the same one that Kurt Russel and co discover when they investigate what happened to the camp.

As someone who is a huge fan of the original movie, I'm......not impressed.

A few things.

1) As much as I loved Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Scott Pilgrim (and Sky High, a guilty pleasure of mine), she seems out of place in this film. In the original movie, everyone seemed like regular people, people you'd buy working in a arctic base in the middle of nowhere.  Once again, this looks like your generic cast of any crappy horror movie.

2) Why all the CGI?!?!?!  Do they not understand the appeal of the original?

3)  The creature doesn't seem to appear as subtle as it did in the original.  They seem to have forgotten that the creature waited until it was alone to attack someone.  This movie seems to think otherwise.

Overall, I think it's going to be a disappointment.  A cash in horror movie that's based on one of my favorite movies ever.

Why are they speaking english?
Damn right, they should be speaking Swedish!
Hahaha, I saw Ramona on there. She slightly remembers me of Gillian Anderson.
Looks pretty shitty to me, prequel, remake, whatever it is.  Just another testament to the fact that Hollywood sucks ass these days and these two bit writers and directors are looking for quick ways to make cash without being the least bit creative about it.
Looks incredibly generic. That's fucking disappointing.
