The Soundtrack for The Avengers is Posititely Objectively Dreadful

Like... my God.

Papa Roach, Black Veil Brides, Buckcherry, Theory of A Deadman covering AC/DC, Five Finger Death Punch covering Faith No More.

Who the hell let this happen?

Really?  My god, that sounds.. just... awful.  An otherwise good movie, ruined by rock music, we need to stop adding to the testosterone in the movie with loud guitars and screaming vocals.

So, how was The Avengers? You say it's good but what were the best parts?

So...., it's going to be like every movie soundtrack released in god knows how long?  Seeing as the movie has a whole score written for it that'll also be released if anyone cares to obtain it, let them throw whatever bullshit they find laying around together to sell as the soundtrack.  Does anyone even pay attention to them anymore anyway?

The Hunger Games soundtrack is doing fairly well and there's some good tracks on there. Shit, even the Taylor Swift song is good. Eyes Open is probably the most mature sounding song she's ever done.

And yeah this isn't all that new. The Transformers movies have some pretty awful soundtracks too (all three have at least one Nickelback song) but I don't get it. Is this what executives think people who'll go see these movies listen too? Or worse, is this what they actually do like. Either way it's sad. They're so many other artists that can get this kind of recognition.

For a quick second, I thought you were referring to Alan Silvestri's score.

Ehh half of them probably appear in the film it's just to promote the artists I guess
they did the same thing with spiderman only 3 of the sons appeared 1 in the trailer 2 in the credits
"sons">songs

I don't pay attention to the soundtracks of movies(minus the score) unless it's full of Indie-Alternative or Hip Hop songs tbh .....

Well duh.  If the soundtrack is good then the movies gonna suck.

Look at Batman and Robin with it's soundtrack.

ZING!

Woahwoahwoahwoahwoahwoah Smashing Pumpkins was on it...

Oh wait...

I see what you did there...

Let's be honest, in no way is this gonna affect whether the movie will be good or not. Most of these probably won't even be in the movie. This is solely from a music listener perspective. They could've chosen so many better artists to potentially get exposed through this movie.
