Permalink Reply by Mister Steel on April 17, 2012 at 3:14pm So...., it's going to be like every movie soundtrack released in god knows how long? Seeing as the movie has a whole score written for it that'll also be released if anyone cares to obtain it, let them throw whatever bullshit they find laying around together to sell as the soundtrack. Does anyone even pay attention to them anymore anyway?
Permalink Reply by NerdyHeartbeat on April 17, 2012 at 8:11pm The Hunger Games soundtrack is doing fairly well and there's some good tracks on there. Shit, even the Taylor Swift song is good. Eyes Open is probably the most mature sounding song she's ever done.
And yeah this isn't all that new. The Transformers movies have some pretty awful soundtracks too (all three have at least one Nickelback song) but I don't get it. Is this what executives think people who'll go see these movies listen too? Or worse, is this what they actually do like. Either way it's sad. They're so many other artists that can get this kind of recognition.

Oh wait...
I see what you did there...
Let's be honest, in no way is this gonna affect whether the movie will be good or not. Most of these probably won't even be in the movie. This is solely from a music listener perspective. They could've chosen so many better artists to potentially get exposed through this movie.
