And it's alright, a lot of sweet shit but it's pretty unfocused at times imo

yeah, i wrote a blog post about it, and there are tons of people online who have dissected the entire ending and come up with theories. i haven't given much thought to the entire family and how they made out, but i think Tony dies at the end. some people really liked the ending, but it wasn't quite for me.
FTR, i felt the same way about Inception. or at least i think i did. i'm not quite sure, and have to see it again to make my decision...

and the ending is great, up there with Twin Peaks, JMO.
The Sopranos ranks second on my list. First place: Rome.
While I love the Mafia aspect, when the focus shifted from the adults (I really dig the introduction of Tony's troublesome sister - brilliantly played by Aida Turturro) and their associates to the children, those episodes didn't do it for me. "Filler" is best I could describe.
To be fair; it's about the Sopranos, which equates to - every family member. Still, I would have liked more "mob", and less teen drama.

A third season would have been nice to finish the saga off; without overstaying the series' strength (drawn-out, pointless filler episodes). Too bad the finance disagreed.
BTW, going off-topic here, but somewhat relevance... Have you seen Masada?
I think you'd appreciate this often forgotten/over looked gem.
Did I just say "relevance"? I meant to say "relevant."
Note to self: Alcohol & grammar do not mix well. lol

yeah, they were talking about doing a Rome movie awhile back. but i guess they scrapped it. would have been nice to maybe see some more of the story after Octavian consolidates, maybe more with the Zealots and foreshadowing the birth of Christ and some other interesting historical stuff. i'm a big ancient-history buff, so that show was just perfect for me.
i'm gonna have to check that miniseries out. thanks for the recommendation...
