But, then again,
I could have sworn that Jackon Rathbone's comment would have stopped production...
"I think it's one of those things where I pull my hair up, shave the sides, and I definitely need a tan," Rathbone told MTV.com, presumably just before his publicist sat him down for a chat about political correctness. "It's one of those things where, hopefully, the audience will suspend disbelief a little bit."
Washington Post replies,
"But the only thing some fans will suspend are their plans to see the movie when it opens in summer 2010"
Update:
Protesters from the New York Casting Call in February
reported that the casting director are casting around the race of the lead roles chosen,
so this is how the tribes will break down:
Water Tribe = White People
Fire Nation = Middle Eastern People
Earth Nation = "Asian" People
Air Nation = White People
I always though ang was indian/hindu. it never even occured to me he may be asian. I assume soka and kitara were eskimos and the fire nation was chinese and earth was closer to mongolian.
But by that way of looking at it, western California and the Baja peninsula would be a continent of its own; the San Andreas Fault being the eastern border with the North American plate.
San andreas is part of the pacific plate that is grinding sideways along the north american plate. The baja penisula is being pulled away from north american not forced in.

It's that time of the year when we celebrate the many gifts that the great Spill Kings and Queens bring us all through the year. And for this we celebrate there awesomeness.
