The Green Lantern Movie cast
Now before I begin, i just want to say i'm hyped up for the movie, GL has been one of my favourite mythos within comics for years now, and i'm excited to see which direction they take with the movie, in all reality I hope we have another "Batman Begins" on our hands.
However, if I could change one thing about the movie, I can honestly say I wouldn't have chosen Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. Ryan Reynolds is a good comedic actor and definately isn't the worst choice ever as GL, the only problem for me really is that he simply looks nothing like Hal Jordan. My personal choice would have been Nathan Fillion,the guy looks and acts exactly how Hal would and I think is a great actor who needs more work.
One casting I'm interested in though is Mark Strong as Sinestro, Mark Strong's been shown to be a very strong villain and quite a diverse actor (think kick-ass or Sherlock Holmes) and I think has real potential to encompass the sinestro role and really show what he can do as an actor and bring a real twist on the villain.

Honestly man, the production looks kind of shitty so far. It doesn't look like anything but the wrong kind of superhero junk to me; like that awful Incredible Hulk movie. There are a lot of recognizable pieces in play, which is designed to get fans evangelizing, but nothing about it really looks all that interesting. Even the released concept art (Kilowog, Abin-Sur, B'zz'd etc...) looks pretty generic when you get right down to it.
Now true, I'm not really a GL fan and I'm not cut from that type of cloth that gets easily interested in space stuff like... AT ALL, but in general I'm a comics fan and I like getting excited about comics projects.
This one just isn't there yet. Maybe it'll surprise me, but so far my Lost in Space sense is tingling.

Yeah I can see where you're coming from, but hey it's still early in the production stages and with the budget it's been given I'm expecting to see some really cool shit, All we can do is wait and see i suppose

i'm not a GL fan, i just don't dig cosmic stuff, but i can't wait for this. i've been reading BN/BD and as much as i love the art, i feel it's reached it's full potential within the medium. i'm not a special effects guy but that's really what i'm looking forward to the most. we should get some amazing visuals when it comes to the rings. also sinestro is just so much fun.
