How DARE you go into a discussion where I presented my views on something in gentle, kind words, and then turn around and remove me from my OWN discussion. Not once did I so much as cough in someone's direction. I was kind enough to respond to all those that voiced an opinion, AND on top of that, I've replied to everyone about the blog and everyone in my comment wall, and everyone in messages that disagreed with my views on the Dark Knight.

We had a perfect place to discuss what was going on with my views, and instead of actually trying to ENFORCE your opinions of the movie, you decided to silence me? you stated that the film being snubbed is a disrespect to the fans who wanted to see their genre of film nominated and respected. My bringing up the directors being snubbed is the same thing. There are people who are fans of both of those directors who wanted them to win OSCARS (even be nominated for some films and weren't) and they were snubbed year after year.

I most certainly did not state that the film being snubbed was disrespectful towards the fans. I said a lot of fans might see it as disrespectful towards the movie and comic books. They'll defend their babies until the end of the world. Although, I can see how my wording may have mislead my meaning.
As for fans of those other films who wanted them to be nominated for/win the Oscars...they're not the ones calling the people who thought the Dark Knight should be in that place dumb. And if they are: "Fuck you assholes!"

I said the film was a good film and a great comic book adaptation (in my opinion) and that hardcore fans of the film that are so pissed that it was snubbed from the oscars should not use the argument that TDK should have been nominated because it was the greatest film of '08 when there were great films that came out after it and most of them were not nominated either.
