The Dew Will Fuck You Up!!!
Washington Wizards guard Caron Butler, explaining how he lost 11 pounds in the offseason after giving up his favorite beverage, Mountain Dew.
He drank 6-10 12-ounce cans every day:
“I was going through withdrawals. I was in the bed sweating. My wife would turn over in the bed and ask, ‘Are you OK?’ Honestly, those first two weeks without the Dew were the roughest two weeks of my life. I’m talking headaches, sweats, everything. It was so bad at one point that I had to have a cold one right there at the nightstand before I went to bed. Come 2 a.m. I would wake up out of my sleep and pop one open. I’d hear the fizz sound and just down it.”

I used to drink Mt. Dew when I was nerding out, fo' reals. Now, after they got rid of the best Dew flavor [Super Nova], my DnD sessions permit only one drink and it is only found at the dollar store...

Caffiene has a stronger hold on people than they tend to realize. I imagine that the withdrawl from a serious Mountain Dew consumer would be equal to the pain of someone who was used to drinking two or more pots of coffee a day and a half bag of sugar.
