Permalink Reply by Antoine Hicks on December 14, 2011 at 2:52pm I saw it last night and it was incredible! He was intense, yet calm with his delivery lines. It was just like the comics. He was a mastermind who was in control. At times it seemed a little muffled when he talked though, but from what the guys taking questions at the end outside the theater said, they might work on that before the final product comes out.
After sitting with it though, I think it fits him.
Nolan himself said somewhere that they will work on the voice so its easier to understand...so they wont change it, just enhance ^^ .
Permalink Reply by Antoine Hicks on December 14, 2011 at 8:13pm I hope so. It was understandable at times, especially with the response to the mask removal line.
Sure, but even so...all the time ive been rewatching this ive been thinking to myself "This is something new, and i fucking love it" and it gives me hope that the next Batman movie wont only be AS good as the previous one, but can actually be better.
Permalink Reply by Batfan175 on December 15, 2011 at 2:52pm bane is a man of action, not of words :). I really liked his deep, slow, raspy voice, even though i had to focus really hard to understand everything he said. But I'm not too worried about it because they keep telling us how he's a very physical presence so it's all body-language anyway. If Hardy can pull this one off it'd be great for him...and even greater for us. Thinking about the whole scene again there isn't as much action involved as in The Dark Knight's prologue, yet it felt just as intense and that has something to do with hardy's menacing presence. i can't wait (hopefully we'll get the trailer really soon). I like how they seem to be pulling together a lot of Bane's stories into one ("Legacy", "Knightfall") and I do hope we'll be getting something as memorable as that special move that incapacitated batman for so long in the comics.
Not to spoil too much, but in this trailer http://comicbookmovie.com/fansites/CoastToCoastStation/news/?a=51366 we see Bruce Wayne walking with a cane...so we might get SpineBreaker after all ;) .
Permalink Reply by Batfan175 on December 18, 2011 at 12:49pm he might indeed but how could he possibly heal in order for him to fight bane in the end?...unless that's what the batwing's for so he doesn't have to walk anymore?
Well, we know TDKR takes place 8 years after the end of TDK, but maybe halfway through the film we get another X-ammount years later, and within those years we see how much shittier Gotham got without Batman. We thought that the 8years between the movies is when Batman dissapeared and what Gordon was talking about in the first teaser...but it actually could take place halfway through the movie..Batman gets broken, he recovers over a couple years in which time Gotham gets pretty much overrun with criminals (far more than in TDK and BB) and Gordon is dying.
