The Gambler of Fate. posted a statusRockstar may not have allot of experience with multiplayer games, with Max Payne being one of their first, but it seems that this may actually be somewhat of a good thing, as they have come up with a pretty cool way to deal with cheaters they find.
Rather than just banning them (a process that normally needs some pretty hard proof, and doesn’t guarantee they just don't get another account), when Rockstar catches someone cheating, they place them on the "cheaters list", which means that they can now only play multiplayer with other cheaters.
It certainly doesn’t eliminate the problem, but damn if that isn't elegant.
