Permalink Reply by Steffen on April 26, 2012 at 4:06pm I know! So good we saw it twice.
Every time Hulk was on screen, our audience clapped and cheered!
Whedon made one of the best superhero movies of all time!
Permalink Reply by Joby on April 26, 2012 at 4:28pm Totally agree. I would say that if fun was your main criteria then this was the best superhero film ever made. I will add that I'm from England where we don't clap or talk during films but I actually felt like it tonight. That's probably a one time thing as I've seen films in the states a couple of times and cringed at the clapping at the screen, whooping and hollering etc. You all get a pass today though :)
Permalink Reply by 28daveslater on April 26, 2012 at 4:18pm I liked it. I was sat in my seat with a shit eating grin on my face for most of the film. I thought the 3D worked well, like they showed the trailer for the new Spiderman film and that looked real choppy but the avengers chugged along nicely. I thought everyone got their time in the sun even Hawkeye and Black Widow in my opinion. Solid performance of Loki and there was actually a point that made me choke up a little I have to say. All around good job.
I have to say though I agree with everyone that this was a very good Hulk but I think that's because it's an ensaumble piece I don't think Hulk's a strong enough character to support his own movie. I did like that you could see the intimidation Banner puts into these super heros along with solid comic relief at times but I think as a singular character the Hulk is much better suited to episodic content like a TV show or comic.
Permalink Reply by Joby on April 26, 2012 at 4:26pm Before tonight I would totally agree that Hulk just isn't a character to carry a solo film and still think that to a certain degree. Hoever I just felt that Rufullo was so good that if they were to make a Hulk film starring him, it would more likely be a success rather than failure.
Also what are the views of you guys on Chris Evans? I absolutely LOVE him as Cap. Just plays the role of leader so well and really has me beleiving in the characters unwavering sense of heroism.
Damnit i swear I had at least 2 nerdgasms during that screening tonight.

Permalink Reply by Joby on April 26, 2012 at 4:35pm In my defence my body was recovering from the orgam I had watching Scarlett Johansson's butt in 3D in THAT outfit when she was talking to Loki. Good times.
Also the hellicarrier. Wow.
Permalink Reply by 28daveslater on April 26, 2012 at 4:48pm I would say he was good. I keep thinking of reasons of why I wasn't so keen on Cap then immediately coming up with reasons why I'm wrong but I thought he was just, sort of.. there. Like vanilla but in a good way, like with dessert.
Permalink Reply by Joby on April 27, 2012 at 1:27am haha that' a pretty good analogy. Which of the heroes was you favourite, if you have one?
I alo think Tom Hiddleston as Loki did an even better job than he did in Thor. He wasn't just a pest here, he actually seemed like a pretty pissed off bad guy.
