Aw, man, I missed it. But that's pretty much what the trailers were looking like. One of the attractions of SG-1 was that it didn't quite take it self as seriously as some other Sci-fi, and played a little lose with it's own rules, something I normally despise, but they made it work somehow. Changing the tone, was a big gamble, and I'm sorry that so far, the Spill consensus is that it's a failure. I'll still have to check it out when I can.
Ok, well, I hunted them down, and watched the first 3 episodes, and I don't know why every one has been so negative about this one so far. It has a pretty heavy air of BSG in the way they tell it, and that includes plenty of angst that seems a little heavily manufactured with characters designed specifically to hate each other, but the story's flow well, from one to another. So far, plots have revolved around responding to out side crisis and way the (unhappy to be with each other) crew are dealing with them. The attention to detail in both logistical problems, and the SG continuity impressed me, and have seemed perfectly logical. I'm going to follow this one for a bit, and see where it goes, cause so far, I think it has potential, long as it doesn't fall into the BSG trap, in simply seeing how much pain they can gouge out of the crew.
You thought MGS is a movie, in which you can use the controller sometimes? Now look at this goddamn game.
Okay that doesn't show gameplay, but look at this
I don't know what to think about this game
