If it's crap... We'll tell you

What can I possibly say about this movie that nobody else hasn't already? It's incredible, one of, if not the best movie I have seen since the Dark Knight. Alot of people are going to be comparing the two movies and to be honest I think they're pretty much on par with one another.

Story:
In a nutshell, Evil Romulan travels through a blackhole with Old Spock, creates parallel universe, we get re-introduced to all our favorite characters from the original series(often in very humorous ways). The evil romulan is really fucking pissed and tries to destroy earth with this red stuff that kind of looks like jam and ahah! the enterprise crew has to stop him!

This movie rocked my socks off. Since I wasn't a real big star trek fan before seeing this, I prepped myself the day I was heading to the theatre by watching a bunch of episodes from the Original series. That helped a bit since I could recognize the mannerisims and catchphrases of the characters in the movie easier. The acting is fantastic except for a few parts..specifically that although it's nice to hear the old characters catchphrases they used them a bit too often. The special effects are gorgeously well done, I really felt like I was cruising around in space. The score like co-host said..didn't really appeal to me. I actually thought the two songs used in the trailers for the movie were better than anything composed for the movie itself. Overall what would I have to say about star trek? Excellent, absolutely excellent. If you are someone who is a bit nervous because( eww..star trek? How nerdy..) believe me you'll enjoy yourself, and if you're one of those trekkies that is disgusted with the idea of this movie because it's too action oriented and not enough like star trek you'll be pleased too. I gaurantee it.

Here it is I was definitely not a Star Trek fan before this movie came out. But my roommates dragged me to it the first weekend it came out and I fucking loved it. The story was interesting and original and plus there was a lot KICK-ASS action scenes. Also I noticed that there wasn't one character that didn't serve a purpose at some point. This movie was so good I was tempted to watch the Original series with William Shatner. So I agree bro this movie is definitely a High Full Price.

Star-Wars sucks, guys. Light-savers and Rookies are gay.

I am no Trekkie, and was and still am one of those guys who questions the appeal of the older shows, but I realize I'm not as old as most fans are of the old show. However I am a total star wars movie nerd, not the whole star wars franchise. Whether you hard core trekkies liked this or not, this is how I wanted the new Star Wars to be treated. Its a modern space opera that's engaging to say the very least.

I can see why there are fans who didn't like it, but they always have the next one and it does deserve a chance.
