I am sitting here watching Star Trek: The Wrath Of Khan, where the movie starts with telling me we are in the 23th century. But then Khan gets to Chekov and talks about how Kirk 19 years ago did something to him, and mentions the year 1996. WTF?! is 19 years 2 centuries? And is Star Trek in another Dimension?
I'm afraid to walk into the new Star Trek movie with this same confusion. Do i need to see the series to understand things like this?
Khan is a super soldier who conquered most of the world in the 20th century. After which, he and the super soldiers he led were cryogenically frozen until they were awakened in the 23rd century by Kirk and his crew. After their first encounter, Khan and his soldiers were exiled to an abandoned, but hospitable planet. (after that, everything should be explained in the movie).
I only made a new tread so more people would notice.
This is an interview I just wrote for my story that I talked about in the previous thread.
