If it's crap... We'll tell you

With a summer of superhero films such as "The Incredible Hulk","Iron Man",and "The Dark Knight" it only makes sense we look at a different kind of superhero his name is Les yup just Les and hes played by Michael Rapaport ("Zebrahead","True Romance", and "The War At Home")

I know he does not look like your average superhero because he isn't hes apart of medical experiment under the supervision of Doctor Doboson played by Jack Kehler ("Fever Pitch","Star Treak," and "The Big Lewbowski")

the study is for a new medicine called "Special" which is an anti depressant thats specific use is to get rid of self doubt Les takes it while reading his comic books and desiring to be a superhero which when he goes home gives him an adverse effect that makes him think hes a superhero which are some of the most interesting parts of the movie to see his "powers" and then see whats actually going on but they don't always show you whats going on so you sometimes wonder whats real and whats not

He with his new powers quits his job as a meter maid and makes his own costume and goes to fight crime which does not sit well with his friends and his new enemies.

This one of the BEST movies of this year but it was made 2 years ago and just went around in festivals until getting a studio that will release it in limited release which also gave it the chance to be put on demand on brighthouse movie channels which is how I saw it and I loved it because the character of Les is so nice but also childlike in a sense to where its impossible not to like him I thought this was going to be a clever comedy what I got was a dark comedy to the point where I got glassy eyed and it was all because of Michael Rapaport who if this film gets recognized as a great film by critics deserves an Oscar nomination thats how good he is which is made more of a challenge when you see him as a smart ass in alot of different roles it was hard to see him as a nice guy but he totally sold me on his character and although this is a low budget movie there are some great shots and good effects good character development no real filler my only complaints is that it feels too short I wanted more from it, its only 1 hour and 21 minutes I wish it was at least 2 hours but it doesn't feel like a cliffhanger or anything it just feels like I got cheated which is not good and I think the movie got too silly at points to keep up with the tone already set but overall it is a good movie I suggest you go out and see it when it comes out on November 21rst in limited release or get it On Demand
I give this movie Full Price
