If it's crap... We'll tell you

Whats up everybody. I am a new member at Spill and i decided to get involved. This is for people who love horror movies, I'm not talking about 1980's and 70's like Halloween and Chainsaw Massacre. I am talking about like the very first horror movies from the 1920's and 1930's. These types of movies are silent movies and all black and white.
My favorite is Nosferatu, which was a German Impressionism movie.

Please list your favorite classic horror movies.

I'd love to see a remake of Dracula.
I recently saw Bram Stoker's Dracula (the Coppola one) and...I'm kinda irritated by it. It's not subtle enough, it's over the top, nothing too frightening, Dracula's a bit of a pussy, the romantic element is a bit too out there, etc.
I actually have a perfect cast and crew in mind! =)
Dracula - Viggo Mortensen or Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy always made me think of Dracula. I also would like to see a Dracula with shorter or no hair nowadays. Don't get me wrong, I like long hair, but he's portrayed with that too often now)
Young Dracula - Luke Goss (watch his quiet yet serious performance in Hellboy II)
Renfield - Timothy Spall (Peter Pettigrew from Harry Potter)
Johnathan Harker - Johnny Depp (F*$% that Keanu Reeves performance!!! If I see a demon coach and wagon, I freak out! not just take it in stride!!)

Director - Guillermo del Toro. (He has a real knack for bringing fantasy to the dark side and not make vampires pussies like twilight nowadays.)

I agree , berko, Franju's Film is haunting * Poor Edith Scob *, but isn't that from 1960?

Gotta agree with that pick, Berko. Eyes Without a Face is a beautiful film.

check the haunting.
scary as balls, and with little to no special effects. just creepy claustrophobic camera angles.

I agree Andres, Wise's film seems like a throwback to the 1930's, even though he made it in 1963.
